Terms of service

Last updated 24 July 2026

This is the agreement between Wooly, Inc. and the family using Wooly. We have tried to write it the way we write everything else — plainly, and without hiding the parts that matter to you.

What Wooly is

Wooly is a shared memory for your household. Your family adds things to it, and the AI assistants your family already uses can then read what each member is allowed to see.

What Wooly is not

Wooly is not an AI assistant, and we do not represent that any assistant's answer is correct. We supply your family's own facts; the assistant composes the reply. If an assistant misreads, invents, or omits something, that is a limitation of that assistant.

Wooly is also not a medical, legal, or financial service. Storing an allergy or an insurance detail does not make us responsible for decisions your family makes with it. Do not rely on Wooly as the only record of anything that matters — safety information especially.

Your account and your family

One person subscribes and can invite others. Whoever subscribes is responsible for the subscription; every member is responsible for what they add. You must be 18 or older to subscribe. Children under 13 may not have accounts. Teenagers aged 13 and over may hold a member seat when a parent invites them.

Keep your assistant connections and your account access to yourself. Tell us at hello@woolyai.app if you think someone has access who shouldn't.

Your content stays yours

Everything your family puts into Wooly belongs to your family. You grant us only the narrow permission we need to run the service: to store it, to show it to the members allowed to see it, and to pass the relevant parts to a connected assistant when a member asks a question.

We commit, as a term of this agreement and not merely as marketing:

Paying for it

Paid plans renew automatically — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until you cancel. Cancel any time; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you live.

If Wooly isn't working for your family in the first month, write to us and we will refund it.

If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then.

Reasonable use

Don't use Wooly to store or distribute anything unlawful, to harass or surveil another person, to break the terms of a connected assistant, or to attack the service. Don't use it to keep information about someone who has not agreed to be in your family. We may suspend an account that does these things, and will tell you why.

Ending it

You can cancel or delete at any time from Family → Your data. Cancelling stops billing; deleting removes your family's memory. They are separate actions on purpose — cancelling never destroys your data.

If we ever discontinue Wooly, we will give you at least 90 days' notice and a working export before anything is switched off.

Where we stand on liability

Wooly is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will never be wrong or never be down. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and give you the chance to leave first.
